  • How do I send you my existing résumé?
    • Usually, you would send it to us by email. If you prefer, you can fax or mail it to us and we’ll send your completed résumé to you – by whatever medium you want.

  • What do I do if I don’t have an existing résumé?
    • That’s ok- we can send you a form to complete. This will provide us with some basic information to get started. Then we’ll contact you by email, phone or fax if we need additional details from you.

  • How long does the full résumé or job application take?
    • It depends on you. If you send us the information quickly and respond quickly after you receive your draft-it can be as short as a couple of days.

  • Why should I pick you?
    • Ask some of our clients! A lot of our work comes from referrals from previous clients. We offer a quality service and deliver on time. We like to think of our clients as friends and we encourage them to keep in touch to tell us how they are going in terms of their personal career goals. We also track if our methods are working and we have an 81% success rate in getting our clients to interview!
      We are NOT a secretarial service.
      Our service is also about moving you from one career point to another. This may involve a number of things along the way.

  • Can I get around any negative aspects of my previous employment?
    • We’re experienced in providing a résumé format and presentation which will show you to advantage. If you take up our coaching for interview product, we also help you jump that hurdle.

  • Do I receive a draft copy of my résumé so I can make any changes?
    • Yes, we provide a draft copy and you let us know if any changes are required.

  • Why should I use your service, when I can build my résumé free on some web sites?
    • These days, employers are looking for more sophisticated presentation of information. We offer something different. An end-to-end solution for you to achieve the career you really want. This means a quality, customised document outlining all your skills and attributes that will make you stand out from the crowd.
      Some employers use CV- tracking computers to scan the information. Our electronic CV’s are geared towards these CV- tracking programs. This requires following special guidelines about length, design and writing style. You then have a better chance of making the shortlist.

  • When should I send a cover letter?
    • Always! It gives you an opportunity to grab the reader’s attention. It also allows you to talk in a conversational style, which shows something about your personality. And finally it’s an inducement to read the résumé.

  • Do you need to see me personally?
    • If you prefer, we can do everything by email if that suits you best. We have offices, if you live locally, however our regional and interstate clients need us to deliver services online.

  • Can I claim the cost as a tax deduction?
    • Yes, you can usually claim it as a work related expense.
